I used Notion for a long time. I still use it for bits and pieces. My work stuff all went over to Obsidian about a year ago - mostly because I get to own the files, and they can live in my work OneDrive without any hassle. If you've not looked at it, Obsidian is a very close relative of Notion :)

I have toyed with the idea of Obsidian and even downloaded it once upon a time! But the cloud based access across my phone, laptop and tablet was too strong a siren call. Tell me more about having them live in OneDrive...

Worth mentioning - Notion has better tables than Obsidian. Obsidian has better extensions than Notion (the killer being the calendar / daily notes).

That's the major failing with Obsidian. If you need it on everything all the time, they DO have their own sync but it's slow. You can also sit your "Vault" in iCloud on the Mac / iPhone, which works pretty well. For work purposes, I just live on a Windows laptop, so leaving my files in OneDrive is fine - I've not tried that with a mobile device.

Hm. Okay I may have to take another peek. AFTER I have my new set up sorted :) I'm trying to make the right changes rather than just *all* the changes this time!
